Choose Your Path
ISEP offers multiple certifications and certification levels:
Certified Experiential Specialist (CES)
A Certified Experiential Specialist is any professional bringing experiential methodology to the work they do. This credential is open to any person, in any field. We’ve found this work to be powerfully effective for life coaches, addiction specialists, teachers, pastors, human resource officers, chief executive officers, team leaders, and more.

Completion of the following requirements allows you to apply for certification:
CES1
- 40 hours experiential training
- 10 hours of experiential supervision including 2 hours of individual supervision
CES2
- 150 hours of training including:
- 120 experiential training hours
- 10 hours of trauma training
- 10 hours of addiction training
- 10 hours of leadership training
- 50 hours of experiential supervision including 8 hours of individual supervision
CES3
- 250 hours of training including:
- 200 experiential training hours
- 25 hours of trauma training
- 25 hours of leadership training
- 100 hours of experiential supervision including 8 hours of individual supervision
*All training must be approved through ISEP. Supervision must be completed by an ISEP-approved supervisor
Certified Experiential Coach (CEC)
A Certified Experiential Coach is any coaching professional who utilizes experiential methodologies in their coaching practice.

Completion of the following requirements allows you to apply for certification:
CEC1
- 40 hours of experiential training
- 20 hours of experiential coaching training
- 50 hours of coaching experience
CEC2
- 100 hours of experiential training
- 50 hours of experiential coaching training
- 250 hours of coaching experience
CEC3
- 150 hours of experiential training
- 100 hours of experiential coaching training
- 500 hours of coaching experience
Certified Experiential Therapist (CET)
A Certified Experiential Therapist is any person in the mental health field utilizing experiential methodologies as a part of their healing practice.

Completion of the following requirements allows you to apply for certification:
CET1
- Bachelor’s degree in a mental health-related field.
- 90 hours of training including:
- 80 experiential training hours
- 10 hours of trauma training
- 10 hours of experiential supervision including 2 hours of individual supervision
CET2
- Master’s degree in a mental health-related field.
- 200 hours of training including:
- 160 hours of experiential training
- 20 hours of trauma training
- 20 hours of addiction training
- 20 hours of experiential supervision including 4 hours of individual supervision
CET3
- Master’s degree in a mental health related field.
- 500 hours of training including:
- 400 experiential training hours
- 50 hours of trauma training
- 50 hours of addiction training
- 50 hours of experiential supervision including 10 hours of individual supervision
*All training must be approved through ISEP. Supervision must be completed by an ISEP-approved supervisor
